P&W LA were invited to volunteer with Fresh and Easy “Fighting hunger & giving hope” at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
We all worked together to sort, box, and distribute food with the LA Regional Food Bank to their network of 1,000 charitable agency sites in Los Angeles County.
With unemployment remaining at 12 percent, the demand for food assistance continues to increase. Food Bank distribution volume has increased by an average of 27 percent per year for the past three years. So needless to say, we were more than happy to help!
It was a great experience, giving our time and working together with team green was a wonderful feeling. We were honored to process over 26,000 lbs of food that day! We hope to do it again very soon.
